Getting started

Registration and sign-in

Can I try ClipPrism without registering?
Where anonymous trials are available, you can analyze one video and review the visible recommendations. Register or sign in to download. Keep the same browser session to retain your trial; it is not a permanent account.
How can I sign in?
Use email and password, or the Google sign-in option shown on the page. Google sign-in identifies your account; it does not authorize access to your Drive or YouTube content.
What if I cannot find my verification email or forgot my password?
Check the address and spam folder, then use Resend verification or Forgot password. Keep any error message when contacting support. Never share passwords, verification codes or verification links.
Will registration preserve my trial work?
Registering or signing in from the current trial can claim that session’s video and results without another analysis. Switching browsers, clearing browser data or using another session may prevent automatic recovery.

Getting started

Your first video

What content is ClipPrism designed for?
Find self-contained clips in podcasts, interviews, presentations and meetings that you own or are authorized to process. AI suggests ranges, reasons and risks; you decide what to use after reviewing it.
How do I get started?
Import a file or a supported individual video link, confirm content rights and select the spoken language. Choose an analysis mode. Review the results, make permitted edits, complete the final checks and download under your current plan.
Where are plans, comparisons and tutorials?
Pricing explains ClipPrism’s plans and prices. Product comparison compares the creation workflow. Guides under Help explain the steps; the FAQ answers specific questions.

Import and processing

Uploads and video links

Which file formats and sizes are supported?
Upload MP4 video or MP3/WAV audio, at least 1 second and no more than 1 GiB per file. Your plan’s duration limit and available processing time also apply. The server checks the actual media; renaming an extension does not convert it.
Which video links can I import?
Use an enabled source listed on the import page and an individual video you own or are authorized to process. An enabled source does not guarantee every link works. Login requirements, download restrictions and unsupported share formats can prevent import. Arbitrary websites and automatic folder syncing are not supported.
What should I do if a link cannot be read?
Check that the complete link is valid, the content exists, its sharing permissions allow access and the individual content type is supported. If you have the necessary rights, upload a local MP4 instead. Do not share passwords or credentials.
How do video language and interface language differ?
Video language guides speech recognition and should match the main spoken language. Interface language controls page text. Changing it does not translate your captions. Select a supported spoken language explicitly.
Can I process several video or audio files at once?
Standard lets you select up to 10 MP4, MP3 or WAV files, including a mix, with separate progress and results. Each file has its own quota validation and processing. Batch uploads process full files; selection does not mean every task runs immediately in parallel.

Analysis, progress and retries

How do automatic recommendations and intent search differ?
Automatic recommendations find self-contained clips. Lite and Standard can specify topics, audience, platform, duration and exclusions before the first analysis. Anonymous and Free users can view examples but cannot submit real intent searches.
Why is my task still queued or processing?
Timing depends on source duration, the queue and processing stage; there is no guaranteed completion time. Open the video details for its stage and recovery guidance. Avoid submitting another task just because you are waiting.
Do failed tasks or empty results consume minutes?
Initial analysis reserves minutes and settles them when reviewable clips are produced. System failures or no reviewable result release the reservation under the usage rules. System recovery does not charge twice. Your own new upload or full reanalysis is a new processing request.

Review and editing

Clip review and search

Why can I only see three clips?
Anonymous trials and Free show the first three recommendations per video; Lite and Standard show the full results. Plans control visibility and features, not a different recommendation quality.
Does a high AI score guarantee a good post?
No. Scores, reasons and confidence help you compare clips; they do not guarantee views or accuracy. Check context, completeness, facts and information that should remain private.
Can I change clip ranges, notes and selection?
You can review and save one continuous clip range, add notes and mark a clip unused or restore it. Notes and output revisions are separate. Check that the saved revision matches the final preview after editing.
Can I find more clips after receiving results?
Lite and Standard can request more clips with conditions, adding up to three new, nonduplicate clips per request. This separately reserves the original video duration, shown before confirmation. No new results, failures or timeouts release the reservation. Re-upload older videos if required source files are missing.
Can I save search conditions as templates?
Lite can save one personal template; Standard can save up to 10. Built-in templates may also be available. Applying a template only fills the draft; it does not start analysis or consume minutes.
How do I use the unified editor?
Edit clip has four tasks: Range, Audio cleanup, Captions, and Picture framing, opening on Captions by default. Usually settle the range, review audio cuts, then check captions; adjust framing as needed. Tasks are on the left, preview on the right, with a shared timeline below. Drag the dividers to redistribute space; narrow screens adapt to available room.
What is the difference between schemes and settings?
Picture, caption, audio, picture element, and intro/outro schemes store reusable preferences; their settings edit the current clip’s draft. Browse built-in or personal schemes, compare the candidate, then explicitly apply it. Complete effects combine selected categories. Saving a scheme does not save the clip; save its changes separately. Schemes do not copy caption text, source language, clip ranges or confirmed audio cuts. Lite saves 1 personal scheme per category, Standard 10; batch application requires Standard. Caption translation has its own controls and permissions.
Does audio cleanup automatically remove fillers or captions?
Selecting an audio scheme does not immediately cut speech. Schemes set processing preferences; review detection candidates and confirm cuts for this clip. Without reliable word timing, use manual judgment. Caption edits and audio cuts share one draft. Audition, check meaning and captions after cuts, then save and generate the clip. The waveform references source audio, not processed loudness.
Which images or videos can I upload in the editor?
For logos, picture/video elements, and intros/outros, select an existing account asset or click Upload asset to choose a local file. Uploading confirms you own it or have permission; cancelling the picker uploads nothing. Supported: PNG, JPEG, WebP images up to 10 MiB, and MP4 up to 100 MiB and 10 minutes. Intros/outros can use an asset or a text card; set image/card duration. Video bookends use the full asset and must be 0.2–30 seconds; supplementary video elements are muted.
Can I turn MP3 or WAV audio into an audiogram?
Yes. Upload audio you own or are authorized to use, choose its spoken language, then review the suggested clips in the same editor. The audio canvas starts at 1:1 and supports a separate cover, background, editable headline and sound visualization. These basic controls add no plan requirement; Free can export a watermarked 720p MP4 without captions. Captions, audio cleanup, other ratios, logos, overlays and intros/outros keep their existing plan limits. Save, generate the clip preview, and check the actual MP4. Audio has no video subjects to track.

Review and editing

Captions and translation

Which plans can edit and export captions?
Lite and Standard can edit and save basic captions and export captioned videos. Free provides read-only access and exports without captions. Processing, no speech, generation failure and plan limits are different conditions; follow the page guidance.
Why did my downloaded video not change after editing captions or timing?
An immediate editing preview is not a saved final output. Save the revision, generate a final preview matching that revision and output settings, complete the checks and download again.
Which caption corrections are available?
Edit text and timing, add or delete lines, split or merge lines, and review reading-speed or overlap hints. You choose whether to apply search-and-replace and suggested fixes. Displaying a suggestion does not automatically change, save or export anything.
Can I save terminology or translate captions?
Lite supports terminology correction within one video; Standard supports an account glossary of up to 200 entries. Saving a glossary does not change existing captions automatically. Where enabled, Standard can select one target caption language on upload for generated clips, not the entire transcript. If translation fails, original-language captions remain available.

Review and editing

Vertical framing

How do full-frame layout and smart subject tracking differ?
Full-frame layout fits the original picture within a fixed canvas to preserve its contents. Where enabled, 9:16 smart tracking changes the crop and needs shot-by-shot review; it can crop out text or other people. Other aspect ratios do not thereby gain smart tracking.
Who can edit and export vertical framing?
Where enabled, anonymous and Free users get one watermarked, read-only suggestion per video. Lite and Standard can review, confirm and save framing, then export the corresponding 9:16 output. Resolve unconfirmed risks and mismatches between the final preview and saved revision first.

Export and storage

Downloads and plan limits

Why must I complete the final output checks?
Checks confirm the revision is saved, the preview matches output settings and no blocking delivery issue remains. Follow the guidance to locate and fix problems. Passing checks does not replace your judgment about accuracy or publishing rights.
How do downloads differ by plan?
Free exports video in its original ratio and audio as a basic 1:1 audiogram, with a watermark, without captions, up to 720p. Lite removes the watermark and adds 9:16 and basic captions. Standard adds 1:1, 4:5 and 16:9 output choices. Source resolution limits video detail; paying for a plan does not restore missing detail.
Do previews and repeated exports consume processing time again?
If you do not request new analysis or another clip search, revisions, final previews and re-exporting the same result do not consume input processing time again. Current plan, task-state and reasonable-use limits still apply.
Can I download a package or publish automatically?
Download a delivery ZIP for one video containing outputs permitted by your current plan. Cross-video review and exports are offered only where enabled; batch actions require Standard. Automatic social publishing is not currently supported.
How is live preview different from the final clip?
Caption appearance, headlines, backgrounds, logos, and loaded images or muted video overlays update in the player immediately, but are not necessarily saved or rendered. Audition audio processing; generate smart framing and complete intros/outros. Use Generate clip preview in the preview header, or Save and generate clip preview with unsaved edits. Complete Finished clip check and inspect the actual MP4 before sharing.
Can I continue editing in Premiere, Resolve or Final Cut?
For video sources, use the editor’s handoff action and choose Premiere, Resolve or Final Cut. Lite supports one saved clip; Standard supports multiple clips from the same video, each with its own timeline. Save your draft first, or explicitly choose the last saved version. The ZIP contains trimmed media, a timeline, saved SRT captions, referenced assets and rebuilding instructions. Premiere/Resolve use FCP 7 XML; Final Cut uses FCPXML 1.9. Complex framing, caption styling, audio effects and intros/outros need rebuilding; this is not a native project or a complete copy of the source. Check the import in your editor. Audio sources/audiograms are not supported, and handoff does not extend file retention.

Export and storage

Retention and deletion

How long are videos and results kept?
Normal reviewable content is retained for 3 days for anonymous trials, 30 days for Free, 90 for Lite and 180 for Standard, starting with the first reviewable result. Retries do not reset this clock. Check the video’s expiry and download important outputs promptly.
Does deleting a video refund used minutes?
No. Deletion or expiry does not return consumed processing time. User deletion is irreversible: access ends first, then cleanup follows. Billing and usage records are not rewritten by video deletion.
Does buying extra minutes extend file storage?
No. The 180-day validity applies to processing minutes, not video files. Reward expiry is also separate from file retention. New purchases cannot recover files that were already cleaned up.
Does deleting a video also delete account assets and personal schemes?
Account assets and personal schemes are not temporary video outputs. Deleting or expiring a video, or cleaning temporary audition/processing jobs, does not delete completed account uploads, which other clips may reference. Contact support for account-asset or personal-data requests. Do not assume deleting one video removes every related asset.

Account and billing

Plans and subscriptions

How much processing time does each plan include?
Free includes 30 minutes monthly with a 30-minute per-video limit. Lite includes 90 minutes with a 90-minute limit. Standard includes 300 minutes with a 180-minute limit. Lite is $7.99/month and Standard $14.99/month; confirm final amount, currency and applicable taxes at checkout.
When do minutes reset, and do they roll over?
Free resets on the monthly anniversary of account creation. Paid plans follow confirmed subscription periods, shown on the Referral rewards page. Expired minutes cannot be used or carried forward indefinitely. When upgrading, valid old paid minutes keep their original expiry.
Can I upgrade, downgrade or stop renewal?
Lite can upgrade to Standard at Standard’s full price, starting a complete new period. Valid old minutes keep their original expiry. Stopping renewal preserves the paid period. Active Standard cannot switch directly to Lite: stop all renewals, wait until every paid period ends and the account returns to Free, then buy Lite.
Can I use old edits and exports after downgrading?
Saved work remains within its retention period, but viewing, editing and downloading follow your current plan. Advanced caption editing may become read-only. Having once paid does not permanently unlock high-tier or watermark-free downloads. Valid extra minutes remain usable under the current plan.
Can I buy multiple Standard packs or annual access?
This release does not offer Standard packs, annual plans or lifetime purchases. Use a separate extra-minute pack for temporary capacity. It does not add an auto-renewing subscription.

Account and billing

Minutes and extra packs

How are minutes measured, and why are some reserved?
By default, processing covers the full video. Free Trial, Free, Lite and Standard can select one continuous timeframe for a single file or link when valid duration metadata is available; otherwise the setting is unavailable. Processing minutes and the per-video duration limit apply to the selected range, not the full source. For example, 15:00–39:59 uses 1,499 seconds (24:59). File size, source safety, concurrency, trial count and retention limits remain unchanged. Usage is reserved first, consumed after reviewable results, and released under the normal failure rules; displayed rounding adds no charge. Batch uploads use full videos.
Who can buy extra minutes?
Users with a current, valid Lite or Standard plan can buy at the same prices. Stopped renewal is fine while the paid period remains active; resolve overdue bills first. Free cannot make a new purchase but can use legally acquired, unexpired extra minutes.

Buy extra processing minutes ↗

Which packs are available, and do they renew?
Choose 100 minutes for $7.99 or 300 minutes for $19.99. Each is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewal. Confirm the final amount, currency and applicable taxes at checkout.

Buy extra processing minutes ↗

When does validity begin?
Each purchase lasts 180 days from successful payment, independent of monthly plan resets. Delayed confirmation does not restart validity. Account shows the individual expiry time.
Can I keep using extra minutes after cancelling or moving to Free?
Yes. Legitimate, unexpired extra minutes do not expire early when you downgrade. Current-plan features still apply: for example, 300 minutes bought on Standard still have a 30-minute per-video limit after moving to Free, along with all other Free limits.
Which minutes are used first?
The earliest expiry is used first. Exact expiry ties use plan minutes, then rewards, then extra minutes. Account shows each balance, reservation and expiry.
Can purchased minutes unlock features or longer individual videos?
No. They only increase total processing time, not per-video duration, concurrency or other features. They do not extend file retention.
What if minutes expire while a task is running?
A task that successfully reserved valid minutes may finish and settle against that reservation. Failure releases the original reservation without extending its expiry. Already-expired time does not become newly usable. Contact support for review of service-incident compensation.
Why have paid minutes not appeared yet?
Returning from checkout still requires payment verification. If payment is being verified, refresh the status before making another purchase. If delayed, use the order’s support link and provide its reference. Unconfirmed payments do not add minutes. If you came from a video that stopped for insufficient minutes, return to that video after payment confirmation and click Continue processing. Processing never starts automatically. The source must still be available; payment does not extend its retention period.

Payments, refunds and disputes

Can I request a refund for an accidental purchase or duplicate charge?
Contact support for manual review; there are no automatic self-service refunds. A completely unused accidental purchase may be reviewed within the payment provider’s acceptance period disclosed with the purchase. Duplicate charges, failed delivery, used packs and partial refunds require manual judgment. A request does not guarantee approval. Non-excludable legal rights remain unaffected. Accidental, completely unused purchases may be submitted for manual refund review within 14 days of purchase. Approval is not automatic; mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
How do I request or check a refund?
Find the order on the Referral rewards page → Purchases and use Refund help, or email [email protected] with the order reference and reason. The record shows funds progress and a separate minute-adjustment status. Provider confirmation determines refund completion; bank arrival timing depends on the bank. Never send full card numbers, passwords or verification codes.

Purchases and adjustments ↗

Do task failure, downgrade or expiry trigger a cash refund?
No automatic cash refund is triggered. Task failures release reservations under the usage rules; downgrades do not remove valid balances early; unused minutes expire at their deadline. Payment or service issues can be reviewed manually without limiting statutory rights.
Why did my balance decrease after a refund?
After a confirmed refund, unused minutes associated with that order are adjusted under the review decision. Account and usage records show the change, reason, time and before/after balances; purchase history shows funds progress. Both can link to the same order. Partial refunds do not automatically convert proportionally into minutes.
What if the refund is complete but the balance is still syncing?
Funds and minute adjustments are separate states. A syncing notice shows the last confirmation time rather than presenting an old balance as current. Refresh or contact support from that order. Do not purchase again or submit another refund request.
What happens after a failed refund, chargeback or reversed dispute?
A request or approval alone is not a successful refund. Chargebacks are tracked separately. Later dispute outcomes and minute adjustments or restoration remain recorded. Restoration preserves the original expiry; additional compensation requires separate review.

Referral rewards

Eligibility and rewards

How many reward minutes do we each receive?
When a valid new invitee verifies the account and completes a first successful processing and export within the window, both users receive 15 minutes. A qualifying first Lite or Standard subscription payment earns both 30 minutes after 14 days of observation and eligibility checks. Registration alone earns nothing. Each stage is awarded once per invitee; payment can precede activation.
Are invitations or rewards capped?
Genuine valid invitations and rewards have no fixed count limit. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts and other abuse do not qualify. Unusual records may receive manual review; contact support about your own reward status.
What are the deadlines?
Register within 30 days of clicking a valid invitation. Complete activation or a qualifying first payment within 30 days of registration. The 14-day payment observation can finish outside this window if payment occurred within it. Account shows relevant deadlines and reward states.
Do extra packs, renewals or repurchases after a refund earn a first-payment reward?
No. It applies to the genuine first qualifying Lite or Standard subscription payment. Extra packs, renewals, repeat purchases, zero-value orders and small paid trials are excluded. Refunding the first payment and buying again does not earn a second first-payment reward.
Do reward minutes expire or change my features?
Rewards expire 90 days after grant. They cannot be cashed out or transferred and do not change plan features. Stopping renewal does not erase valid rewards early. Receiving a reward never triggers another referral reward.
What happens to my reward if my friend gets a refund?
A full refund or final chargeback of the qualifying payment cancels pending first-payment rewards and revokes the corresponding unused granted rewards. Used rewards are not collected as cash and other legitimate paid balances are untouched. Partial refunds need manual review. Reversed or won disputes can restore rewards. Stopping renewal alone does not revoke rewards or activation bonuses.

Privacy and support

Rights and privacy

Can I process any video I find online?
No. Only submit content you own or are authorized to process, with rights to its video, audio and other materials. Public access to a link does not grant download, editing or republication rights.
Where can I read privacy rules or request my data?
The footer links to Privacy, Terms, Content use and Copyright policies. Use their contact channels for data or copyright requests. Deleting a video is different from deleting an account or billing records. Optional PostHog analytics starts only after you allow it. Choose “Necessary only” to decline without affecting sign-in, upload, editing or payment. Reopen “Privacy settings” in the footer to change your choice. This browser remembers it for 180 days. Withdrawal stops subsequent optional collection; it does not automatically erase earlier records. To request their deletion, use the contact details in the Privacy Policy.
Does participating expose my or my friend’s information?
Invitation lists show limited progress relevant to your rewards, not the other person’s email, videos, detailed usage or payment amount. Sharing does not read contacts or automatically send messages for you. Privacy explains invitation and necessary transaction records.

Troubleshooting and support

What should I provide when I need help?
Email [email protected] with the time, page, symptoms, error message and relevant video or order reference. Redact personal details in screenshots. Do not send passwords, verification codes, full payment details or private access links.
What if pages show different balances?
Check that you are signed into the same account, then refresh and check timestamps. Usage history distinguishes reservations, consumption, releases, expiry and adjustments. Check purchases for refunds and reward records for reward changes. If still inconsistent, contact support with record references instead of resubmitting tasks.
Why is a feature available to someone else but not me?
Availability can depend on your plan, account state or rollout. Check page guidance and Pricing. Upgrading only removes the relevant plan limit; it does not fix system errors or enable a feature that is not available yet. Contact support if unsure.
